SHINER: Fred Bollom, 66, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born September 22, 1951 in Alice , Texas to the late Jerry and Annie (Korenek) Bollom.
He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, was a former scout master of Troop #44, was very patriotic and was a creative artist.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie (Kubiak) Bollom of Shiner; son, Travis Bollom, of Shiner; daughter, Hilary Francis and husband John of Bryan; grandchildren, Joseph, Cyprian, and Matthias Francis; brother, Jerome Bollom and wife Joann of Copperas Cove; Brothers in law, Ken Kubiak and wife Laura, Dennis Kubiak and wife Birdie and Donald Kubiak and wife Rae; special cousins, Dan and Gail Dale; lifetime friends, Dale and Kim Newbury; numerous extended family, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn McDaniels; brother, Gene Bollom.
Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial Funeral Mass 1 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner with Rev. Bryan Heyer officiating. Committal at Shiner Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, (school building fund).
