~Buddy Clark~![]() YOAKUM: Bethel Raymond “Buddy” Clark, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, May 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 5, 1941 in Gorman, Texas to Raymond and LaVeda (Macon) Clark. Buddy graduated from Kennedy High School and was a veteran, having served in the US Army and serving in the National Guard for 17 years. He worked as a machinist at DuPont for 36 years and was a handyman with the ability to fix everything. He was married to Darlene (Rothbauer) Clark for 60 years and they were blessed with two children, Shana and Shayne. In later years they moved to Hope and enjoyed all the country quiet and beauty. Buddy loved hunting and riding the mule through the outdoors showing his granddaughters the beauty of the land. Survivors are his wife, Darlene Clark of Yoakum; daughter, Shana Clark and husband Robert of Victoria and son, Shayne Clark of Victoria; three granddaughters, Madison, Presley and Brianna Clark; his beloved fur baby, Bella; special sisters and brothers-in-law, David and Linda Michalec of Shiner and Darrell and Diane Rothbauer of Moulton; a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and LaVeda Clark; sister, Bobbie Henley and brother, Leroy Clark. Visitation 1 p.m. with Funeral Service at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Military honors. Pastor Lynn Wilson will officiate. Burial to be held at a later date.
