~Donald Coquat~
SUBLIME: Donald Robert Coquat, 83, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He was born October 13, 1939, in Luling, Texas, to Robert Homer and Mavis Lee (Wommack) Coquat. Burial was on March 15, 2023, at Willow Creek Cemetery in Sublime, Texas. When Don was a teenager, he received Jesus as his Savior and Lord. On September 22, 1961, he married Virginia Glaze at Clay Road Baptist Church in Houston. He was a good and faithful husband. Don was an electrician by trade. His employers were Fischer Electric Co., Brown and Root, and Metro National Corp., all of Houston. His survivors are his wife of 61 years, Virginia Coquat ; daughters, Valerie Willett and Gayle Willett (Kenny); grandchildren, Jennifer Gayle and Jessica Ann; sister, Janet Ruth Brunt (Hal) and brother, Howard Lee Coquat (Martha); seven nieces and two nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Hallettsville. Memorial Contributions may be given to First Baptist Church, Hallettsville, Gideons International, and KHCB Christian Radio. We are thankful for the compassionate care he received from Lavaca Medical Center, Dr. Morgan Heck, Baylor College of Medicine, Advanced Home Health, and Crown Hospice.
