~Jo Dukes~
YOAKUM: Frances Geneva Dukes, 94, passed away December 25, 2024. She was born September 29, 1930 in Yoakum to Johnnie and Ida Lou (Hamman) Einkauf. Everyone knew her as “Jo”. She was married to her beloved Johnny Dukes for 54 years until his passing in 2009. She and Johnny worked with the family owned business, Johnny’s Wholesale Candy Company. Jo was a faithful member of Hebron Baptist Church. Jo is survived by her daughters, Donna Hammack of Victoria and Debbie Brisbin of Victoria; extended family, Roberta Baker of Hallettsville and John Baker of Athens, Tx; three grandchildren, Lacy Mata (Lorenzo), Jessica Upham (Billy) and Cody Hammack; six great-grandchildren, Loren, Lyla and Lily Mata, Aubrey and Savannah Upham and Tinslee Hammack.; sister, Louise Kneblick; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Ida Lou Einkauf; husband Johnny Dukes; brother-in-law, W.T. Kneblick. Visitation 9:30 a.m., with Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2024 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Means officiating. Burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery.
