~Benjamin Gaidusek~HALLETTSVILLE: Benjamin Julius Gaidusek, age 81, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024. He was born July 6, 1943 in Hallettsville to Julius and Matilda Vasek Gaidusek. He was a machinist for over 40 years at Anderson & Greenwood in Houston. He enjoyed working on tractors, wood working, dancing, listening to czech music and relaxing while drinking a beer with his dogs near by. Survivors: daughter, Cynthia Harmon (Tony); son, Michael Gaidusek; step-daughter, Marrisa Caswell (Josh); step-son, Christopher Mraz (Nora); 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Gaidusek (Sharon); Lynn Boykin; brother-in-law, Alvin Linhart along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by: parents; sisters, Evelyn Linhart (Daniel), Tillie Linhart and Irene Womak. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum. Burial at Mossy Grove Cemetery near Hallettsville. Pallbearers: Nathan Holden, Joshua LaDue, Tony Harmon, Stephen Gaidusek, Brian Rother and Josh Caswell.
