HALLETTSVILLE: Olevia Haynes, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born May 6, 1945 in Shiner to Van and Julie (Clark) Murphy. “Dolly” as most people knew her, was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Ernest Haynes; daughters, Elaine Haynes and Evette Haynes; sons, Charles Haynes, Perry Haynes (Crystal) and Ernest Haynes Jr.; 30 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Murphy, Mary Ann Steamer and Kizzie Maloy brothers, Robert Lee Murphy, Robert Murphy, Samuel Murphy and Steve Murphy. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Haynes; sisters, Selena Murphy and Patricia Murphy; brother, Van Murphy Jr. Funeral Service 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Arkadie officiating.
