YOAKUM: Dwayne E. Nall, 69, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019.
He was born August 20, 1949 in Yoakum to Earl and Doris (Flessner) Nall.
He served as a proud member of the United States Marine Corp from 1969-1973 and was honorably discharged with the rank of E5. After his discharge, he began working for ARKLA Gas Company who then became South Texas Utilities and eventually Southern Union Gas for 25 years. He then became a site and pipeline inspector where he traveled around the country following jobs. He enjoyed seeing different parts of the country and always loved a good drive. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and very active in the community.
He enjoyed dragging his boys around behind the boat waterskiing. Going on a good fishing trip with his buddies and then later with his sons. His greatest joy came from watching his grandkids playing sports and playing with all the toys and gadgets he would buy them.
Survivors: wife of 48 years, Jerlene (Bolech) Nall; sons, Clayton Nall and wife Bonnie of Cuero and Christopher Nall and companion Patty Jimenez of Cedar Park; grandchildren, Camden, Olivia and Tanner Nall.
Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Gay Dedear; brother, Jack Nall; grandparents John and Emma Nall and Gus and Hilda Flessner.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. with 7:00 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
