YOAKUM: Espetacion “Patsy” Nunez, 87, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 after a sudden illness. She was born January 18, 1937 in Gonzales to Joe and Marcelina (Vasquez) Luna. Patsy was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member Catholic Daughters. She cared about others and was active in serving at Yoakum Food Pantry. She was full of life and loved sharing her quick wit with others. Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Louis Nunez of Yoakum; son, Daniel Nunez and wife Barbara of Cibolo; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Mason(Trae), Samantha Luba and Jacquelyn Nunez (Josh); 3 grandsons, Jonathan Nunez (Jamie), Jeremy Nunez (Terrin) and Jared Nunez (Janelle); 12 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John Peters officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum.
