~Apolonio Rosales Jr.~

 

YOAKUM: Apolonio Rosales, Jr., age 80, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born March 23, 1944 in Yoakum to Apolonio Rosales Sr and Barbara Rodriguez Rosales.

Apolonio was a well known automotive mechanic. He loved helping others with their automotive needs. He also loved gardening and giving out his produce. He was a regular of either The Store or Tiger Tote, and he enjoyed talking to all who came into the store. He resided at Stevens Healthcare & Rehab Center and was loved by his caretakers and nurses.

Survivors: daughters, Rachel Toro (Jose), Sarah Garcia (Moises), Jaime Camacho (Martin) and Bea Cuellar (Albert); sons, Apolonio Garcia (Bobbie Jo), Gabriel Rosales and Nolan Rosales; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lydia Garcia and Iza Ortega (Daniel); former spouses, Josephine Peters and Guadalupe Reyes.

Preceded in death by: parents; daughters, Irene Rosales, Nancy Rosales, Rebecca Rosales and Emily Rosales; son, Leroy Rosales; sisters, Adela Gonzales, Maria Guadalupe Rosales and Carolina Garza; brothers, Pete Rosales and John Rosales.

Memorial service will be held February 6 at 6:00 p.m. at River of Life Church (109 US Hwy 77A).  Pastor Pita Villarreal officiating.

The Rosales family wants to thank Stevens Healthcare & Rehab Center, Crown Hospice and Yoakum Community Hospital for their great care.
