~Donald Sollock~![]() YOAKUM: Donald Melton Sollock Sr., age 87, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025. He was born September 1, 1937 in Houston to Walter Melton and Elizabeth Ann Howell Sollock. He was a plant supervisor for Petro Tex Chemical Corporation. He was a member of Hope Methodist Church, Pasadena Masonic Lodge #1155, Yoakum Lions Club. He was a rancher and an avid golfer. His journey through this world was one of unwavering devotion to family, steady perseverance, and a love for life that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Donald now takes his rightful place in the heavens, reunited with his cherished wife, Barbara, and beloved son, Donnie. Their reunion is surely one of radiant joy and heavenly peace. He leaves behind a legacy carried forward by his dear sister, Mary Lou, his devoted daughter-in-law, Marry Sollock; his grandson, Brandon Sollock, with his wife Victoria and their two precious daughters, Isla and Marlee, and his granddaughter, Kara Asante, alongside her husband Sam. Donald's life was a beacon of love, honor, and quiet determination. Let us remember him not with sadness but with pride and gratitude, inspired by the legacy he leaves to his family and the world.
