~Phillip Sralla~![]() SHINER: Phillip Lee Sralla, 81, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born August 28, 1943 , the only child born to the late Lee and Gladys (Wagner) Sralla. He met his beloved Joan Bujnoch at a dance and they never were apart since. They spent the next 59 years working hard and raising their two children, Roger and Candice. Phillip did not have any siblings so he always said he was “blessed” when he married Joan and became part of the Anton and Mary Bujnoch family and their 9 children. Phillip worked as a saddle maker in TexTan and later Circle Y. In his retirement he was able to enjoy all the simple things that made him so happy, his land , his cattle, gardening and spending time with his family. He and Joan went through difficult times, but their faith carried them through. May he rest in peace. Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Joan (Bujnoch) Sralla; daughter, Candice Lu; two granddaughters, Lauryn Lu and Megan Lu; numerous extended family and friends; Preceded in death by his father, Lee Sralla that died when Phillip was 13 years of age, mother, Gladys Sralla Spann and step-father, Eddie Spann; son Roger Sralla and wife Bonnie (Matula) Sralla; brothers-in-law, Larry Dieschke and Bobby Roznovsky. Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Mendoza officiating. Burial to follow at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bryan Sczepanick, Jeff Dierschke, Corey Vana, Jansen Flores, Thomas Landers, and Nathan Pilat. Honorary pallbearers are his brothers-in-law, George Bujnoch, Donald Bujnoch, David Vana, Paul Winkenwerder, Tommy Landers and Curtis Pilat. Memorials may be given to Sts.
