~Carolyn Steinmann~
YOAKUM: Carolyn Ruth Steinmann, age 92, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023. She was born November 12, 1930 in DeWitt County to Ruy and Aletha Brown Granberry. She was a homemaker and a member of Austin Street Baptist Church. She was known for her huge heart and love for family and friends. Together with Tilford, they opened their home and were foster parents to 18 children from 1978-1982. She was very faithful to God and her church. She enjoyed cooking and making sweat tea. Survivors: sons, Dwight Steinmann (Sherri Rene) and Shelby Steinmann; daughters, Ann Clark (Richard), Sherry Hutchinson (John), Sheila Seaburn and adopted daughter, Lorraine Steinmann; grandchildren, Denyse Holloway (Preston), Dianna Hanzelka (David), Laura Marie and Rachel Carter (Bo); eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sister, Linda Cooper. Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Tilford Steinmann; daughter, Gayle Mueller; sister, Marjorie Herrings; brother, Harry Granberry. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Austin Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Turner and Rev. Elvis Whaley officiating. Burial County Line Cemetery. Pallbearers: Braden Hanzelka, Seth Hanzelka, Wyatt Hanzelka, Clayton Hadley, Dakota Hadley, Jaxxon Marie and Kellen Holloway.
