~Juana Alvarado~
YOAKUM: Juana Perez Alvarado, age 89, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born March 26, 1936 in Mexico to Jesus and Maria Cruz Rodriguez Perez. She was a homemaker and worked in the fields of California doing various agriculture work. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved sharing the good news of Gods Kingdom with everyone she met. She had a deep knowledge of the Bible and could readily find any scripture. She was also very hospitable and no matter what time you showed up at her home she would make you something to eat, she was a great cook and made the best tamales but she also loved going out to eat with family and friends. When her children would visit her at the nursing home the first thing, she would ask is, did you bring me a taco? She also enjoyed watching horse movies and westerns. But she really loved all her children, grand, great, and great great grandchildren. Survivors: daughters, Josie Flowers (Troy), Rosa Rosales (Abel), Juanita Gonzales (Nestor) and Raquel Munoz (Juan); sons, Dionicio Garza (Sarah), Jesse Garza (Linda), Robert Alvarado, Oscar Alvarado (Arrica), Moses Alvarado and Emilio Munoz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Antonia Valdez and Crus Perez. Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Roberto Alvarado; sisters, Placida Herrera, Francisca Rodriguez, Maria Arriaga and Trinidad Guerra; brothers, Manuel Perez, Jesus Perez, Juan Perez, Guadalupe Perez, Alvaro Perez, Leon Perez and Ramon Perez. Memorial service 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Graciano Vargas officiating. The family would like to thank the kind nurses and aides at Paradigm at Steven's along with the nurses from Crown Hospice for keeping her comfortable. The family also wants to thank Nestor, Juanita, Adriana and Joshua Gonzales for lovingly taking care of mom for many years in their home.
